Comments: Yields 8 cups.
Ingredients:
1 Each cinnamon stick
1 Each ginger root 1-inch piece
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except mint in glass or stainless steel saucepan. Heat slowly and keep over low heat 10 minutes. Remove and discard whole spices. Pour mixture into 11 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Place in freezer until solid. Remove from freezer and scratch with tines of fork to break all of mixture into small flakes. Work quickly and return pan to freezer. To serve, spoon frozen slush into sherbet glasses and decorate with fresh mint sprigs. Serve between courses to refresh the palate or serve as light dessert.
