Comments: This recipe calls for Winesap apples, which are slightly tart and a good all-purpose apple. If you cannot find them, a Courtland or Jonathan will work

Directions:
Peel and coarsely cut apples. Cover with sugar. Stir and let stand 15 minutes. Mix together egg and butter. Add to apple mixture and sift in dry ingredients. Add raisins and pecans. Pour into greased 8" square pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
