Directions:
Use a jelly roll pan that is very well greased. Place a greased and floured sheet of wax paper to line pan.
Beat yolks and add 5 Tbls of the sugar. Beat until thick and light in color Add starch. In a separate bowl, beat whites until thick and peaked. Fold into yolk mixture. Pour into lined pan.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake for 12 minutes; do not let cook too long.
While baking, take another wax, sprinkle with remaining sugar. Remove from oven and turn out on paper immediately. Chop up frozen strawberries. Add to Cool whip or sweetened whipped cream. Spread on jelly roll and roll it up.
Ice top and ends with whipped cream or Cool Whip (without strawberries). Decorate with strawberries. Refrigerate. |
