Directions:
Heat a little olive oil in a 3-quart sauce pan. Saute the onions with the cumin until softened. Add garlic and saute 30 seconds. Pour in black beans and bay leaves. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer and cook 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and remove bay leaves before serving.
