6 Tablespoons syrup, Maple divided
Directions:
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking into bite-sized pieces. Drain fat and set aside.

Cut or tear French bread loaf into 1-inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.

In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 2 tablespoons maple syrup.

Pour milk mixture over bread mixture and toss to coat all pieces of bread.

Spread half of bread mixture into a 13x9-inch greased baking dish.

Top with sausage and then spread remaining bread mixture over the top of the sausage.

Sprinkle remaining 2 tablespoons brown sugar over top of casserole evenly. Then drizzle remaining 4 tablespoons maple syrup over bread mixture.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 60 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serve.
