Directions:
Add water and tartar to sugar in a large saucepan. Mix until paste forms, scraping down sides to remove sugar. Place over heat and cover; 8 to 10 minutes.

Warm milk to approximately 110 degrees. Mix eggs and sugar. Add warm milk mix and strain. Pour caramelized sugar into molds (¼ on bottom) Add vanilla to filling. Pour filling into molds.

Bake in water bath at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
