Directions:
In a small bowl, place unsweetened chocolate and 1/3 cup butter. Microwave at high 2 ½ to 3 minutes, until melted. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes. Stir in flour and salt just until well blended. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle nuts over batter, if desired. Microwave at high for 4 to 4 ½ minutes, rotating dish ½ turn after 2 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool while making icing and glaze. In a 1-quart Pyrex dish, place ¼ cup butter. Cover with wax paper and microwave at high for 5 to 6 minutes, until butter is golden brown. Remove from oven and blend in powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Spread over top of brownies in dish. In 1-cup glass measure, place chocolate and butter. Microwave at high for 2 to 2 ½ minutes, or until melted. Cool slightly and drizzle over icing on brownies. Refrigerate until cool and icing and glaze are set. |
