Ingredients: 2 Cups strawberries pur?ed thru sieve

Directions:
In a 2-quart saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil over moderate heat, stirring only until sugar dissolves. Timing from the moment the sugar and water begin to boil, let mixture cook exactly 5 minutes. Immediately remove pan from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Stir in the puréed strawberries and lemon juice. Pour mixture into an 8-inch square pyrex dish.
Freeze the mixture for 3 to 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes and scraping down the sides.
Serve garnished with mint leaves. |
