Directions:
Beat butter in mixer bowl. Add egg yolk and sugar, beat well. Add 2 cups flour, salt and vanilla. Once well combined, add the 2 tablespoons of flour so that the dough is stiff enough to roll.
Roll into balls and press with finger, leaving a dent in the tops.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown on edges.
Place a pecan or some preserves into the dent, if desired.
